      Hi there,

I shall start with giving an example of what the problem is and what i would like to see.
This is what it currently looks like: http://skyhighmedia.nl/TEMP/screenshot-fancybox.jpg

As you can see i would like to show a multiline (8-10 lines) title/alt beneath the image, but the lightbox is only showing 1 or 2 lines because it’s not scaling the whole thing according to your window, only the image.

I already tried fiddling with CSS to make it work, but so far no success, so can you help me out?

      Thank you!

Hi Roel, the original FancyBox script was never built with long multi-line titles in mind. Probably because it’s not possible to accurately calculate the height of the title to adjust/scale the whole thing to fit into the browser viewport before rendering the lightbox.

My suggestion would be to disable the option “Center while scrolling” in the Window section. This will allow visitors the scroll down and read the complete title below each image.

The only other way is choosing “Title Position: Overlay” but I guess you already tried that and prefer Outside position…

I’ve bene playing with this, as I needed a similar solution, and found that increasing the margin in the settings to about 120px and then via css applying a small top negative margin works pretty well using div#fancybox-wrap {margin-top: -40px;}. I’ve got 3-5 line captions I need to deal with.
