Hi Ravan!
I’m sorry, I have an issue with your plugin.
Since I have installed it on a web site as “Easy FancyBox” Version 1.5.8.2 and “Easy FancyBox-Pro extension” Version 1.5.2 it’s worked perfectly.
Recently I got this message:
Notice: The current Easy FancyBox plugin version is not fully compatible with your version of the Pro extension. Some advanced options may not be functional.
Please download and install the latest Pro version. Or you can ignore and hide this message.
Up to date I haven’t noticed functional problems anyway, but today I cannot see the arrow on the images included in the FancyBox gallery. Therefore I tried to download the plugin from the link I got when I purchased it, but it’s obviously expired.
Would you be so kind to help me? I don’t know how to get the newest version of the Pro extension.

Hi Silvia, looking at the logs it seems you downloaded the zip today. It should include the latest version. Are you having trouble updating?
About the gallery arrows gone missing: that should not happen even if your versions are not completely compatible. Make sure the Auto-gallery option on your Settings >> Media page is correct. If so, can you share a link to your site? There might be a conflict occurring that was not there before…

About arrows, they are magically back! Maybe something went wrong just for a while. I have double checked (just in case) this issue today and they are fine now!
About the update: yes, somehow I downloaded the Pro extension, but I wasn’t sure it was the latest one, so that I didn’t make any change and in my WP panel I still have the same version of both (free and pro). Is it the 1.5.3?
Last but not least… I’m really sooooooooooo SORRY to ask you that, but I can’t remember whether it’s possible to update the plugin directly from the WP panel (just uploading the zipped file) without deactivate and delete it… SORRY SORRY SORRY

Yes, the zip should contain the newest version.
If you try updating a plugin by uploading the newer version zip file via Plugins >> Add new >> Upload, then WordPress will tell you the installation failed because there was already a plugin installed in the same directory. It cannot tell the difference in versions and it aborts installation. This is to protect the plugin that was installed before which might be overwritten by a completely different plugin that just happens to use the same directory name…
So what you need to do is either one of these — A or B — approaches:
A. Deactivate the current Easy FancyBox Pro (leave the normal Easy FancyBox activated!) and then uninstall the Pro extension. After that, you can install the new version via the Add new >> Upload dialog without problem. Don’t forget to re-activate the Pro extension afterwards 😉
B. Move/extract the complete easy-fancybox-pro directory from the new downloaded zip file to your local Downloads folder (or another location on your computer that you can find later). Then open an FTP program like FileZilla or your host FTP browser and upload all files from the extracted folder, overwriting the ones currently installed on your hosting space under wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox-pro/ … no need to de/reactivate anything.
Let me know if you need a clearer explanation. Or if the arrows issue comes back!
