ParticipantI’ve seen Easy Fancybox stop working on this one page recently, and can’t determine why.
The video overlay in the header works on all other pages, but on this page it’s stopped working, as have the staff bios below.
http://www.growinggenerations.com/about-us/staff/
All of this was previously working, and recently it stopped.
Any idea why?
The only errors or warnings I see on the page are related to Easy Facnybox’c CSS:
[Warning] Unexpected CSS token: : (staff, line 152)
<style type="text/css"> #fancybox-overlay{background-attachment:fixed;background-image:url("http://www.growinggenerations.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox/light-mask.png");background-position:center;background-repeat:no-repeat;background-size:cover;filter:progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src="http://www.growinggenerations.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox/light-mask.png",sizingMethod="scale");-ms-filter:"progid:DXImageTransform.Microsoft.AlphaImageLoader(src='http://www.growinggenerations.com/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/easy-fancybox/light-mask.png',sizingMethod='scale')";} </style>
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Michael, I just visited your staff page in the Google Chrome browser and it seems to be working correctly. Both the header video and the staff links open up in FancyBox.
What browser are you using when you get the error?
I do, however, see an error that is caused be the fact that you’re using a rel=”team” attribute on all inline content links. This causes FancyBox to do two things: it will create a browsable gallery (which is probably what you want) but it will also try to preload the next image in the gallery. But in this case, this will not be an image but inline HTML content. The script does not expect that (the gallery feature was originally designed for images only) and throws an error.
To get around that, you’ll need to install the latest development version from https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-fancybox/developers/ (under Other Versions) which in turn needs the Pro beta version for full compatibility. Let me know if you would like to try that out and I’ll send you the beta by e-mail.

ParticipantI was trying it on a Mac in Safari, Chrome and Firefox, and it wasn’t working anywhere, though it would form time to time — it has been oddly sporadic.
I’ve just removed the rel=”team” as it wasn’t essential. I can revisit that wen the new version are out of dev status.
It’s now working for me on my laptop. Perhaps something odd is happening with my desktop, which seem very odd, but I’ll restart and see.
Thanks,

ParticipantThis is so bizarre. I’ve restarted, and it’s still not working on that one page on my desktop computer, but it is on my laptop, and on a colleague’s computer.
’tis a mystery.
Thanks for taking a look.

KeymasterCould you try and disable (1) the Minify plugin and (2) the Spotlight Effect option on Settings > Media and test the page again a few times?

ParticipantFollowing up on this old topic again. Not sure why, but Easy FancyBox is still not working on this page on my computer. It used to, and it seemed to be okay for a while. I’m using the release versions of the plugin and the pro extension.
https://www.growinggenerations.com/about-us/staff/
I’ve tried disabling Spotlight and the Minify feature in w3 Total Cache to no avail — it’s scripts and css are excluded from being minified anyway.
Any other thoughts? It’s oddly working everywhere else on the site just fine, and this page works on other computers. Just not mine.
Have you ever seen computer-specific anomalies like this?

KeymasterHi Michael,
Is that the Youtube link there on the front page top banner area? In my Chrome browser is works fine… Which browsers did you check?
You might also want tot check if it makes a difference when you are logged out. I’ve seen plugins that add stuff to the admin toolbar causing a conflict with Easy FancyBox.

ParticipantYeah, it’s the YouTube link at the top, and all the Bios below. Logging out used to help, but not any more on this computer.
It’s odd. Not critical, as it’s fine on other computers. Just very weird.
Thanks.
