ParticipantHi,
For some reason, the title isn’t pulling in the alt text. I tried following some of your suggestions found in other forums without success. From what I am seeing, the class is showing display none. We tried overriding but its not working.
http://2017.rembrandtyard.com/weddings/ See the bottom gallery on this page. The first image has the alt text set.
– You’ll see here that it is set to display none:
But it is not pulling the alt text into the image. I tried to use the plugin you suggest for generating but it didn’t work. I checked on my regular inserted images and it is working.
Let me know what you need to troubleshoot.
Thanks,

KeymasterHi Charisa, looking at your page source code, I see it’s the Revolution Slider that is responsible for those image slides. This slider is a bit particular but it should be possible to use captions as image title in FancyBox.
I see you followed the instructions given by the developers of Revolution Slider on https://www.themepunch.com/faq/using-fancybox-with-slider-revolution/ which is OK but it does not address some particular issues. They will disable (or overwrite) all your settings on the Media admin page and also do not take care of any titles.
So I tested my own alternative javascript that can be used instead as Custom Javascript (as given in step 2). You can find my alternative javascript on https://premium.status301.net/support/topic/slider-revolution-revslider-integration/ and include script that will make captions be used as title. Of couse, you’d need to give your images a caption text in the slider…
Hope you can make it work with these instructions 🙂

ParticipantHi,
Thanks for the details! I tried to change it out with your script and when I do, it does not lightbox the image anymore. When you say ‘you will need to give your image a caption text in the slider’. Do you mean just add a text layer? Or is that something different?
Thanks!

ParticipantHi again,
I got the lightbox working with your script. I have a text layer caption added on the first slider here: http://2017.rembrandtyard.com/weddings/ but it still doesn’t show it. Maybe I’m not understanding how to insert a caption? I also have a caption set in the image itself.
Thanks!

KeymasterHi Charisa,
Great you made it work for your case. Was it the ‘revapi’ number that fixed it or did you change something else?
Looking at the text block on http://2017.rembrandtyard.com/weddings/ it appears to be something else than what was used when we created the alternative script on https://premium.status301.net/support/topic/slider-revolution-revslider-integration/
That script is looking for text in a block called “Photography Textblock” but I’m not sure how that would be called on the back-end of the slider. So if you cannot find anything that would fit that description (it might even have been removed or replaced since then) there is the possibility to make this work with the text layer you are currently using:
Replace
div.Photography-Textblock
in the javascript withdiv.tp-caption
and let me know if it still does not work 🙂 -

ParticipantHi Ravan,
Yes, it was the revapi that fixed it.
Changing that div to civ.tp-caption did the trick! Thanks so much for your help!!
