      Hi there,
This is a great plugin but I’ve come across a problem I’m unable to fix.

I’ve got an image that links to a modal window using the class fancybox-inline. The inline content is displayed exactly as intended, the window has a couple of paragraphs of text and three images.

However, as soon as I add a link (a href=) to any of the content, i.e. a line of text or one of the images, it links all of the content to the ID I’ve used to open the content. The link I’m trying to open gets lost because all of the content is linked to the overlay.

Any ideas what I’m doing wrong?

The code I’m adding is breaking in the editor for some reason.

Hi Chris, sorry to hear you are having troubles.

It might be the rich text editor (TinyMCE) that modifies your page input. Have you tired switching to the Text tab in the post/page editor. You can then modify the source text (and code) of you page content and save it without the rich text editor messing with it.

If that does not change the result, then it could be the WordPress internal KSES or markup/formatting filters that scan input for invalid or insecure content.

Could you copy the code that you use for the light box effect (link and content) from the Text tab and send it to me by e-mail? It will also be helpful if you include a link to the page where the result of your efforts is visible. I might be able to deduce something from the resulting page source code. It’s ok, I’ve figured it out now. There was a missing </a> earlier in the page and that was causing it to break.

      Thanks for your help!
