ParticipantHi there!
I built a gallery with a Masonry media grid of WPBakery Page Builder and I need to open them in a larger size, but unfortunately the only option is with PrettyPhoto, which I do not like at all. I do want to “force” the grid to open my images in an overlay window with FancyBox. Please, find here attached a screenshot of the options of the grid panel.
Would you be so kind to help me to get this thing done?
Thank you so much and Happy New Year! πSilvia

KeymasterHi Silvia, welcome on this forum π
What are the other options under “Add link” apart from the selected “Large image (prettyPhoto)”?

ParticipantHi and thank you for your prompt reply! π
The other options under “Add link” dropdown menu are the following:
“Nothing”
“Post link” –> it simply shows the image attached in a fixed upper position
“Post author”
“Large image” –> it simply shows the image attached in a fixed upper position
“Custom” –> you can select an URL, but as it is a gallery and not one single image it doesn’t help
I want this grid to show every single image bigger in an overlay window, therefore somehow I have to force it not to use those mentioned options and say “Hey, you! Don’t argue with me anymore and go with my BEAUTIFUL FancyBox!” π π π
Maybe just adding something in the “Nome classe extra” (Extra class name) field with my images’ ID would help?Thank you! π

KeymasterHmmm, OK so does the option “Large image” make it so that each image in the gallery is linked straight to its full size image version? This should normally be enough for Easy FancyBox to work with, unless…
1. if the Autodetect field (on Settings > Media, in the Images section) does not have the proper file extensions. Make sure they are correct there:; jpg png jpeg or whatever you have on your site… Upper/lower case is important too!
2. if WPBakery adds a class
nolightbox
to the links. This would disable autodetection for these links. You can try addingfancybox
in that βNome classe extraβ field you mentioned.IF you want, I can take a closer look at your live site. You can use the Contact form to send me your site link privately (make sure to mention this topic)

KeymasterUPDATE: you might also try to get Autodetection working by setting the option Apply to: Links inside Section(s) only (below) and then scroll down to the Section(s) field and add
, .wpb_wrapper

ParticipantHi, PharΓ©o!
It seems it does, but it opens the image in a fixed upper position in the same window, so that you have to come back clicking your browser arrow instead of simply closing the overlay.
I checked the settings and I tried all the suggested points, unfortunately it still not working as I would.
Ravan gave me a precious support to build galleries using thisBut I donβt think this could somehow affect the option I need.
Thank you! π -

KeymasterHi Silvia, sorry to hear it’s not working for you. Code you gave seems like it should be enough to create what you are looking for but it sounds like something on your site is blocking the liht box script to function properly. The problem is that it can litterally be anything (other scripts, plugins, misconfiguration) and it would really be helpful to see the site live.
You can send us your site address via the contact form on https://premium.status301.net/contact/ or you can send it directly via the Send a message link on https://premium.status301.net/support/users/ravanh/
Without seeing it live, it’ll be very hard to debug further. But if you prefer, we can try to do that step-by-step too. Let me know π

ParticipantCiao RavanH! How are you? Long time haven’t disturbed you here, lucky you… π π π
Maybe I couldn’t explain myself properly in my last message.
The code you gave me that time it’s fine and it works very well, thank you so much! I’m so grateful for that, you cannot believe! π
Let’s do that: I’ll write you down all the things so that you can have a look, because it’s really very strange, FancyBox works everywhere very well, only in this case I have encountered this problem.
Thank you so much for your help, you provide the best support EVER! πSilvia
