Displaying gallery thumbnails within the modal window

Hi there,

I’m using your awesome plugin to display galleries of images, but am wanting to add extra information to the modal window – namely thumbnails, but a counter would also be nice. That way, users know what to expect (i.e., that there are in fact other images and eventually how many).

Is there a(n easy) way to do this?

Hi Jenny,

I’m sorry to say that thumbnail images inside the modal window are not possible without nearly completely rewriting the FancyBox 1.3.4 script. It simply was not built to do such a thing…

A counter is theoretically easier but still it cannot be done without changing the plugin code. If you are not afraid of messing with PHP files, just let me know and I can help you with that 🙂

You could also wait for the next upgrade of the Pro version. I am considering several approaches to give different title formats as a Pro option, including one with a counter.

Hey, thanks for the speedy reply. I may take you up on your offer (no prob here messing with php files ;)), but will try a few things out first. Look forward to the new pro version – really a great plugin. 🙂
