ParticipantHi,
This thread indicates that the Pro plugin would have a cookie feature for not showing an “Open on page load” overlay to repeat visitors, rather then loading it every time the page is loaded.
Is the cookie feature not yet implemented, or if it’s there, is there any documentation? I don’t see it referenced in the settings.
Please adive.
Thanks,
Michael -

KeymasterHi Michael, no the cookie check has not been implemented yet. It is planned for the next version. I hope to be able to release it soon. I’ll notify you via this thread so you can download it as soon as it’s available.
Thanks for your patience!

ParticipantHi,
Just curious if there’s an update or ETA on this feature? It’s been 3 months, and this was originally supposed to be in the initial Pro release, no? Hate to be a pest, but I actually have a need for this now.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Michael -

KeymasterHhi Michael, I’ve got a dev version ready that has this feature. If you’re willing to test it, please find my e-mail in reply to your last mail. Let me know how it works out!

ParticipantHello, could I test the trial version? I need a cookie so that the popup is displayed only once per session.
Thanks! -

KeymasterHi nelym6, yes that’s possible. Send us a short message via https://premium.status301.net/contact/ and we’ll send you the zip in return 🙂

ParticipantHi! I’ve downloaded the dev version and I have replaced the “easy- fancybox – pro.php ” file with the new.
How do I set up now plugin to display the popup once per session?
Thank You. -

KeymasterHi nelym6, there are more files in the zip than easy-fancybox-pro.php. Better to completely remove the current Pro extension plugin from the WordPress Plugins admin page and then use “Add new” and “Upload” to upload and install the complete zip.
After that, you’ll have a new option “Hide popup after first visit?” on your Settings > Media page.

KeymasterHi nelym6, my appologies. I forgot to mention that you’ll need to install the development version from https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-fancybox/developers/ too. Once both dev versions are installed, the new options will be available.

ParticipantSorry again, but still not working.
1 / I uninstalled all
2 / I installed “easy-fancybox.zip” dev. The new “Hide popup after first visit?” option appears disabled.
3 / I installed the latest “easy-fancybox-pro.zip” but not the “Hide popup after first visit?” option is activated
What am I doing wrong? Thank You! -

KeymasterIt sounds like you’ve installed the Easy FancyBox free dev version but you’re now back to the current stable Pro version. I’ve sent the Pro dev zip again. Install that instead of the current Pro.

ParticipantHi, I’m having the same issue right now. No options for cookies in the pro version I just uploaded.
Thanks. -

KeymasterHi Jared, you will need the development version of both the Pro and the free plugin. Send me a message via https://premium.status301.net/contact/ and tell me which versions you have installed now.
